When you contact us, book an activity or visit our website, we may process personal data. Below we explain how we use that data and how you can contact us about it.
1. Who is responsible
Strength Events Group (SEG), the business of Dennis Polman, is responsible for the processing of personal data described below.
Strength Events Group
Cargadoorweg 14C
6541 BT Nijmegen, Netherlands
Dutch Chamber of Commerce: 64308219
Email: dennis@strengtheventsgroup.eu
This statement covers strengtheventsgroup.eu and enquiries and bookings with SEG. An external shop, booking service or organizer may be independently responsible for the data you provide there. A link on our website does not automatically make SEG responsible for that party’s data processing.
2. Contact and enquiries
Our contact form asks for your name, email address and message. In subsequent correspondence, you may provide a telephone number, company name, location and preferred event date, for example. We use the necessary data to answer your question, prepare a quotation and make arrangements.
The legal basis is taking steps towards or performing a contract when you contact us for that purpose. For other correspondence, our legitimate interest is handling enquiries and business contacts with care. You are not required to make an enquiry. Without the data needed to respond or carry out a booking, we may be unable to process your request.
Do not send identity documents, medical records or other sensitive information through the general contact form. Discuss any necessary adjustments for participation directly with the instructor.
3. Bookings and administration
A booking may require contact details, billing details, payment details and booking information. We use these to perform the contract, organize the activity and maintain our records. We also process administrative and tax data to comply with legal obligations. When communicating with employees of business clients, our legitimate interest is the communication needed to carry out the booking.
4. Service providers and external platforms
We use services for hosting, email, website management, forms, accounting and payments, among other things. An accountant or a party helping to carry out a booking may also receive necessary data. Which data is needed depends on the service and booking concerned.
Appropriate arrangements for processing and security must apply to parties processing data on our behalf. Other providers, such as banks and certain booking or social platforms, may be independently responsible for their processing. When using an external service, also consult that provider’s privacy information.
The current technical inventory of suppliers, storage locations and any transfers outside the European Economic Area is still being completed. We will add the findings to this statement and, where applicable, information about safeguards for international transfers. You can contact us directly with questions about a particular service.
5. Data retention
The retention period depends on the purpose for which the data is needed. For an enquiry, this covers handling it and any necessary follow-up; for a booking, it covers delivery, administration and any handling of complaints or disputes. Basic tax records are generally subject to a statutory retention period of seven years.
The specific retention periods and deletion settings for forms, email, technical logs, backups and images are currently being checked. This statement therefore does not yet contain a complete list of retention periods. You can ask us which period applies to your data and submit a deletion request. A statutory retention obligation may mean certain data cannot yet be deleted.
6. WhatsApp and social media
If you contact us through WhatsApp or social media, we use the content to respond and make arrangements. The platforms also process data themselves under their own privacy policies. In a WhatsApp group, other participants can see your telephone number, profile information and messages. You can leave the group and contact us directly if you do not want that visibility.
7. Photos and video
Photos and videos may be taken during training sessions and events. Participation does not provide general consent for every promotional use of identifiable images. SEG must have an appropriate legal basis for its use and take the interests of the people depicted into account. Where consent is required, it must be obtained beforehand. Extra care is needed with children.
Have a question or objection concerning a photo or video on our website or social channels? Email us with a link or a clear description. We assess your request and adjust our own use or remove the image where necessary. For publications by other parties, you may also need to contact that party.
8. Website, cookies and security
Providing and securing a website may involve processing technical data such as an IP address, the time of a visit, the requested page and browser information. Necessary security measures may be based on the legitimate interest of protecting the website and communications.
Our website contains an older Matomo configuration for visitor statistics. Its technical operation, other statistics services, and the cookies and similar technologies present are currently being checked. We therefore cannot yet confirm which analytics cookies are active, how long they remain or precisely which visitor data reaches service providers. This section will be updated after the technical review.
For technologies requiring consent by law, consent must be requested before use. Visiting this page does not constitute consent. You can view and delete cookies through your browser; this does not replace any consent choice required on the website. Blocking necessary cookies may affect functionality.
9. Your rights
You can request access to, correction or deletion of your personal data. Subject to the statutory conditions, you also have rights to restriction of processing, data portability and objection. If processing is based on consent, you can withdraw that consent. This does not affect the lawfulness of earlier processing. You can always object to direct marketing.
Email your request to dennis@strengtheventsgroup.eu. We normally respond within one month. If the law permits an extension, you will receive an explanation within that month. Where we have reasonable doubts, we may request additional information to establish your identity. Do not send a complete copy of your identity document without being asked.
You can also lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens).
10. Changes and questions
We update this statement when our practices change or the technical inventory provides new information. The date of the latest update appears at the top. New wording does not in itself constitute consent for a new use of personal data.
